In early 2020, SONY LIV redefined itself, with all the qualities and inventory of a premium OTT player, original Indian and new International shows, hit movies, popular sporting events, new App UI and subscription models.
They came to us to rebrand SONY LIV into a digital-first, independent entity, not a V.O.D extension of the Sony Entertainment TV, a decades old and much loved channel. Having developed a rich lineup of OTT exclusive content, they wished to attract new, younger users while still retaining Sony Entertainment’s loyal viewers.
We happily took on the challenge and developed a fun, radiant identity that signalled Sony LIV as the “right choice for entertainment”. The graphic design took shape as a lush yet light, multiple format-friendly system with graceful motion design.
Soon after the rebrand and on the backs of amazing new shows, Sony LIV was propelled to stratosphere of the main OTT players.
